Remember when the Republicans thought

that JFK should not be allowed to have his religion guide what he did at his job? As a matter of fact, they were saying it should disqualify him from even running for the job.

Of course, you would have to be 60+ years old to remember this, but for those that are younger, trust me, that's the way it was. And he had to come out and openly promise that it wouldn't happen.
