Bassett and the team did not deserve that. They were all playing so hard. Kudos to England for a well played match.

feel so bad for her. and now, the USA team WANTED TO PLAY JAPAN. Just feel so sad for how this championship match came about. But.....USA, USA, USA!!!!!!

promise to watch the game (it's on now), because of that self-defeating goal made by England....

Also, because Biden and Jill are there tonight. President Obama made a brief good luck statement (taped I think) to the US players...

Score is 4-l going into the 2nd half. Japan finally got a goal. I never watched a soccer game before. It's pretty exciting. Our team is doing very well - US Womens hasn't won the cup for ages and ages. Good chance tonight.

Maybe Biden is good luck....

The outcome shocked me...over before it even started, as the saying goes...I expected a nail-biter like 2011.
