Have fun at Al's show. 25 years ago my band did a short tour with Al. It was supposed to be a one-nighter but Al took a shine to us and took us along for 6-7 shows. He was total class, payed us real well and was a joy to be around. A true gentleman.

I have seen you reply to some pretty offensive things in a kind and rational manner; often with great compassion. If something got off track, its ok. It truly is. are my reasons for being here.

I lurked for many years and thought myself not witty enough to join in on this conversation. You gave me courage and once I got here, you never made me feel small about not knowing protocol or being inarticulate or anything remotely like that. The first week I joined I got the nastiest messages from DUers, even though there was no evidence other than my number of posts that would flag me as a troll. But I was demonized and nearly left.

You guys made me feel like my voice counted. You’re both DU treasures. There are a couple of DUers on here who I don’t agree with currently but I love them like they’re family. I won’t speak ill of anyone here, because we’re ultimately on the same side.
