Josh Duggar likely to face civil suit from molestation victim

Although the statute of limitations has long passed in regards to prosecuting Josh Duggar criminally for molesting several girls a dozen years ago, he could still be headed to court.

In Touch is reporting that one of Josh's victims, not a member of his family, is set to file a civil suit against the "19 Kids and Counting" star.

If a suit is in fact filed, Josh's parents could be forced to give depositions about what they knew. It's been reported that the parents actually covered up Josh's molestations for 16 months even though they knew of the crimes.

The magazine said Josh's parents will have to answer every question as they will not be able to invoke their Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination because the criminal statute of limitations has expired. The statute of limitations has no bearing on civil suits in this matter, according to Arkansas law.
