ISIS's Bizarre Origin Story

http://www.cracked.com/personal-experiences-1780-we-built-their-death-squads-isiss-bizarre-origin-story.html

#5. We Put All Their Leaders In The Same Camp...

#4. They Learned To Work Together...

#3. We Recruited Former Terrorists To Fight Terrorists...

#2. We Turned Them Into An Organized Death Squad...

#1. We Handed Both Groups To The Iraqi Government, And Out Popped ISIS...

...In 2008, President Bush turned over control of all Iraqi prisoners, including those in Camp Bucca, to the Iraqi government. And like everything else the Iraqi government was involved in, it turned out to be a complete shit show. The Iraqis released Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi in 2010 under the assumption that he had gotten all the terrorism out of his system. He became the leader of ISIS that same year...

...We pulled out in 2011, leaving the country in the hands of Iraq's Prime Minister Nouri Maliki, a Shiite Muslim. He immediately had his vice president (a Sunni) arrested. Then, he ceased all payments to the Sunni-majority Sons Of Iraq...

...The Islamic State's largest roadblock was gone. Suddenly, a bunch of violent assholes -- who had plenty of time to plan during their stint in prison together -- found themselves at the head of around 30,000 active fighters. The most effective military force in the area -- the hundred-thousand strong Sons Of Iraq -- had been disbanded. The actual Iraqi Army proved so ineffective that ISIS now controls more than half of their country.

The overall effect of US policy in the region was to break up Iraq, Libya, Syria along Sunni-Shi'ia lines, in the hopes that it would lead to regime change in Iran, as well. The Saudis, Qataris, Emirates, Turks and Israelis are, of course, overjoyed that we've taken sides and helped them do this.

Otherwise, this is accurate in most of its details.

DicKKK and His Chimperial Majesty have the reverse Midas touch - everything they touch instantely turns into shit. Those two dumbfucks couldn't organize a two-car funeral on a one-way street even if you spotted them the goddamn hearse.
