http://deadstate.org/report-tom-cruise-is-planning-to-split-from-scientology-church-goes-into-pr-panic/The source told Star that a recent phone conversation Tom had with his daughter made him realize that hes missing important milestones of her childhood.
She was going on and on about her ballet class and how much she loves it. Thats when Tom realized hes never seen her perform ballet and he started to tear up. It hit him that shes growing up before his eyes and hes not there to witness most of it. They talk on the phone and video chat, but its not the same.
Considering that Toms ex Katie Holmes has distanced herself from the Church after their divorce, Scientology sees her as a suppressive (Scientology speak for someone who is hostile to the church) person, and will no doubt apply that label to Suri as she gets older.
Top Gun or no Top Gun, he better stay out of small planes!

(20,709 posts)If Tom Cruise turns completely, and talks about it, it has the potential to even take down the whole church.

(3,433 posts)He has a billion dollar war chest, lawyers who see nothing wrong with abusing the legal system and lackeys who see nothing wrong with endeavoring to destroy a person's life. Cruise has star power that's it.

(8,747 posts)And have to come to the conclusion it was Scientology. At first I thought it was their inability to have biological children together. But since they both had children by other spouses I was forced to ditch that idea. So the only fallback is the "church".

I suspect they looked for ways to interfere in their marriage.

(12,041 posts)According to the film the church of Scientology actually placed surveillance on Nicole Kidman and sent people to her home to harrass her, it was extremely creepy.

(111,261 posts)He was a charismatic sociopath. Miscavige is just a sociopath and membership has been dropping like a rock since he took over. Even Sea Org is losing people quickly and some of those guys have been talking.
Apparently Miscavige has a vicious temper and now that his wife has been tossed into $cientology stir, there's no one around to absorb the worst of it.
It sounds like Cruise has seen it in action. Plus, he knows his days to contact his daughter on line are going to be severely limited if the cult has anything to say about it.
It's just good that they're losing membership. Few cults last more than a couple of generations after the founder kicks the bucket. Let's hope they don't last even that long.

(4,244 posts)after the statements made by his son, David Miscavige, to the private investigators he hired to investigate/follow his father. The elder Miscavige was in physical distress in a WalMart parking lot, clutching his chest. The PI's phoned the son (David - head of Scientology), and he told them not to help him: "If he dies, he dies." This is the church of Scientology. His niece also wrote a book about her escape from the cult.
I hope Cruise leaves the cult for the sake of his daughter. It has a history of breaking up families.
