Religious Right Believes Even Government Employees Can Deny Services If It Violates Beliefs.

The churches and religious right believes that public employees can refuse to offer service if it violates their religious beliefs. That is the meme behind judges refusing services to gays. The new meme put forth by flying a church flag above the America flag is that "God's" law trumps any and all civil laws and civil laws must be congruent with the Bible and 10 Commandments.

These religious constructionists believe that this nation was founded on Christianity and will not give up overthrowing secular government. In their own way they are as serious a threat as any other threat. We must understand that we are facing an insurgency that is essentially white supremacist and religious. The Confederate flag represents many of these beliefs in the modern era.

We are in for a long fight because the RW has sent a message that their resistance is only the beginning. The GOP will continue to pander to this base because they believe it is the key to power. And if you examine all the rhetoric and all the bullshit the GOP and its allies keep repeating the meme that the Democrats will give this country and money to Blacks, Hispanics and the lazy. The next election wills be more racial oriented than ever. The the GOP will find a way to use the Confederate flag for political advantage.

The "confer" flag wavers will continue to fly that flag privately. It will be a very long time before it disappears from the landscape.

(******* "It's a deep-rooted conviction; my conscience won't allow me*****" . . . . .

and it is MY "deeply-rooted conviction that my tax dollars should not have to go to pay the salary of a government employee who refuses to do her/his job based on "religious convictions." you damned, bigoted, ignorant, hate-filled cretins have no problem sucking at the secular, public teat so long as it suits you, but then whine about your damned "religious convictions", as though that has any bearing on doing your SECULAR, TAX-PAYER funded job.

if your "religious convictions" are so damned powerful and deeply-rooted, get a job in a church (oops, I forgot, probably doesn't pay nearly as well as sucking at the SECULAR, PUBLIC teat)
