to a large percent of the population. It probably won't change much that the flag is coming down. But, it's one less thing to fight about and it's a victory that people who have been oppressed don't have to see that flying over the institution that still oppresses them. So, there is still a lot of work to do. But, a symbolic victory is still a victory.

One is paid for entirely by taxpayers; the other is not. One is not constitutionally protected speech and could be constitutionally prohibited government speech; the other may be protected by the First Amendment.

No one has time for a government imprimatur on insurrection to extend slavery.
