Mississippi remains as the only state banned from hosting pre-determined NCAA postseason events after South Carolina governor Nikki Haley signed a bill to remove the Confederate flag from its capitol grounds on Thursday.

For nearly 15 years we have specifically protested the flag by not allowing states like South Carolina to host pre-selected NCAA championships. With this impending change, and consistent with our policy, South Carolina may bid to host future NCAA championships once the flag no longer flies at the State House grounds" ...

Tony Meyers says he doesn't have a strong opinion on the flag issue but made this admission.
"I do think it would be nice if we were able to host NCAA postseason games here," noted Meyers ...

(10,303 posts)It's the Kkklan that adopted the battle flag. In any case, the 1st CSA national flag was based off a design classic.
1st flag of the Confederate States of America
Flag of the United States of America, 1861-1863.
