Trump: Rick Perry 'should be forced to take an IQ test' before debate

Donald Trump on Thursday fired back at criticism from presidential rival Rick Perry.

The former Texas governor "failed on the border. He should be forced to take an IQ test before being allowed to enter the GOP debate," Trump tweeted Thursday afternoon.

The comment came hours after Perry issued a blistering statement that said Trump was mistaken on border security and only offered "a toxic mix of demagoguery and nonsense."

It was another in a series of jabs between the two candidates, to which Trump countered in another tweet by saying that Perry "doesn't understand what the word demagoguery means."

What a maroon!

"Running for president is not an IQ test," Perry said. The last president proved that!

to find a picture of Trump in which he doesn't look like he's taking a giant shit in his pants.

I stand corrected. In the above, he's obviously just finished.

On edit: Perry simply looks like the same clueless dick he's always been.

But the fact that he would make this statement and folks would STILL approve of him as President (saw poll today on up too early showing he's leading the pack) -

It makes all of America 'less than'. Someone like this shouldn't be on the Global stage ever.

It's amazing there appears to be a not-insignificant portion of the populace who feels that what this country needs for POTUS is someone with the mentality and self discipline of a junior high school twitter-addicted mean-girl who can't ever let an attack slide.

Who would vote for someone like this.

Seriously - could you imagine this 'child' sitting down with Shinzo Abe? Or François Hollande? Good, bad, indifferent - they might be perfect or they might be less than perfect -

But at least they are measured, seasoned, people of reason.

The worst thing for the world would be this asshole as the CIC. Ugh! And having lived in NJ since January 2006 - I know EXACTLY the type of person who would vote for this man. They are the ones that are probably pissed Christie isn't being abrasive enough for their taste on the campaign trail.

The world needs less abrasion - and much more calm, level headed people in leadership positions.

Sadly the difference in IQ was more than apparent in 2000 and 2004 and - with help from SCOTUS and Diebold - we ended up with 2 terms of Dimson.

... in this country is eating this up. It's like a real reality show.

For a while I was starting to think the meme that Trump was a democratic plant/agitator was true. It HAD to be true - how else do you explain this ridiculous side show?

But - I think I was wrong. Trump simply knows that outrageous statements = attention = greater name recognition = surge in the polls.

It's a ratings game - and Trump is a lot more savvy to this reality than the other candidates. He is kicking their asses at his own game.

by an IQ test. Granted, my guess is that Perry is of only average IQ, but I have no reason to believe Trump's is much higher. IQ tests don't cover things like knowledge of economics, domestic and foreign policy, etc.

At least Perry understands that Trumps "big wall" won't work. It may make it difficult to cross the border on foot, but as long as their are employers who will hire them, they will continue to come. Just like most things, if there is a demand, there will be a supply. The demand is the EMPLOYERS. If the GOP really wanted to cut down on undocumented workers, they would have to make a comprehensive plan that targets employers and provide the funds for inspection and enforcement. Of course, they won't do that because it's "anti-business".

Of couse, at the end of the day, somebody has to pick the fruit, clean the homes and hotels, do the landscaping and put those roofs on in the heat of August. If they were actually able to deport every undocumented worker and keep new ones from coming in, just wait for the uproar about higher food prices, higher housing costs, etc. We like getting stuff cheap. That's why all the manufacturing jobs have gone overseas.
