Organic Food Sham

I should say Organic Food Industry is a sham. Twenty five percent of all organic blue corn packaged by Garden of Eatin is grown in Mexico but you will not have a choice to choose because tortilla chips are processed. Never mind that blue corn is 99% of a bag of tortilla chips.

Texas has only two organic inspectors in the ENTIRE state of Texas and their certifications are honored by all other states. The same with Mexican certification. Be very leery of Garden of Eatin White, yellow and blue tortilla chips. The only way you can be sure is to buy a local brand.

Texas doesn't believe in regulation so they have just 2 inspectors for the entire state. People should call Garden of Eatin and Minsa Corporation and make them stop using Mexico certified bluecorn. Corruption is the way of life in Mexico. Who can believe their certification.

I'm of the mind - the less processed you are - the better. The more local you can buy from the 'out aisles' - even better. And well my garden? Doesn't get more natural than that.

Those of us who live with serious auto immune diseases - we stay away from a lot of the shit other people eat. I can't remember the last time I was in a Mickey D's and I don't think I've ever made Hamburger Helper in my life. And chips? A big no no - starch kills my joints and lungs.

As to your issue, there was a time when our medical professionals would tell you it was all in your head.

My mother experienced allergic reactions to carpet and other stuff, everybody said she was crazy and how silly it was they spent tens of thousands on new this and that .

I think at one point the wallpaper or glue was an issue.

I believed her.

My mom was one hell of a Woman...Befriended Maya Angelou, I have told you that story I hope

when FDA finally checked, the bottles did not contained any of the product it was supposed to have. Capsules of filler. Yes the supplements work if you can get them.

Who found the gene - and going back well over 100 years - we know the way to 'manage' is via through what you eat. And he even said - this is a long shot, gave him my ethnic background - voila! HLB27 at your service!

We tried Enbrel - but it didn't have this major profound effect and he's not positive it works for women with my disease. And he's very very supportive of my ginger, apple, cucumber, spinach, kale juice! I'm a dream patient as he says!

6. The main thing is you need be able to trust what you are buying.

Hell, even the over the counter natural medications were found not to even have a trace of what they were supposed to the MAIN ingredent. At least with raw produce, it has to be labeled where it is inspected. Once the bluse corn is inspected by Mexican insperctors, it is not require to be re-inspected.

It takes specialized equipment to clean the raw wheat. Surprising is that 18% of US flour has ecoli. I didn't know that. For cookie dough eaters, it isn't just the salmonella but now there is and 18% chance it has ecoli too. It is a huge liability for the small producers and the FDA is no longer exempting small producers.

Our capitalist society is based in fraud, corruption, and "let the buyer beware".

Anyone who trusts a capitalist she doesn't know, or hasn't researched, risks being cheated. In the case of corporations like Monsanto, I don't have to worry, because I always know they are lying, just like I know republicans are always lying.

I was a sucker and was in favor of NAFTA.... It was the end of the cold war and our only real threat at that time was the potential for upheval in Mexico from the poverty... so I thought, why not put some plants around Mexico, City. I was really dumb wasn't I ? Intead of helping people out in the interior of Mexico, they buit the plants along the border where it helped Mexico very little. Never trust business.

Then grow it yourself.

Otherwise it's just a good label to get people to pay more for their food.

17. I called Earden of Eatin and they said that they had to buy from Mexico
Fri Jul 17, 2015, 06:44 PM
Jul 2015

because they could not get it in the US. I had to tell the poor fellow living in India an catching my rath is that they should pay more for the product and they will get it. They have been paying the same price to the farmers for 10 years. Of course they don't have enough since they are offering very little in compensation to the farmer. Whole Foods is the same way.

Currently area organic dairies are paying more so organic farmers grow for them. If Garden of Eatin paid more, we would have 100% US Supplies.
