Show-stopper.

Serena Williams was a vision in blush pink at the Wimbledon Champions Dinner at the Guild Hall Sunday in London. The superstar athlete donned a gown encrusted with jewels for the lavish affair in her honor.

The tennis champ defeated Garbiñe Muguruza 6-4, 6-4 to win the Wimbledon championship Saturday, making it her sixth trophy at the All England Club and 21st Grand Slam title. She is just behind Margaret Court and Steffi Graf, who have 24 and 22 Grand Slams, respectively.

On Sunday, Williams and fellow Wimbledon champ Novak Djokovic danced to the Bee Gees' hit "Night Fever" to celebrate their wins, the Associated Press reported.

Funny thing - when I saw it before I thought it was a clip from Dancing With The Stars. ROFL. Now I realize it was at the Wimbledon Dinner! Thanks.

It seems like this kind of reporting is part of the problem with the way the media covers women in sports.

regardless of the event of the person so, really what's the problem here? Serena looks gorgeous and her dress makes a statement - which means the designer gets props and publicity. Fashion is a business, always and forever.

What is there to talk about when men go to most high end events? They usually just wear a black suit and tie. Even when they wear tails it is not an elaborate affair. It is still mainly a basic suit.

Women are the ones who wear the clothes that people can talk about. They can wear long dresses, short dresses, brightly colored dresses, dull colored dresses, bejeweled dresses, and non-bejeweled dresses. Women can even, if they dare, wear suits. However, when women wear suits it is usually a change of pace and they might not be the same as a male suits.

So, there is really nothing to see when men go to events where they dress up. The women are the show. Each woman can and usually does wears a different dress. Each man, on the other hand, wears just about the same thing.

Even without the dress she is very pretty, but she is also very pretty with the dress.
