I plan to vote for Donald Trump to be our next President.

Just kidding, but I'm thinking about voting for him in the Republican primary (I'm registered as an independent).

I'm hoping that with enough support, the megalomaniac will run as an independent all but ensuring a victory for the Democratic Party candidate by splitting the Republican vote.

Thanks for the sentiment, but that just gives cover for Dem candidates to shift to the right Xipe Totec Jul 2015 #1

That your vote matters and not a good idea to use it to make a statement or play games.

Trump has an ego the size of Mt. Everest and delusions of grandeur. My prediction is he'll realize that there's no chance of winning so he'll come up with a lame excuse to pull out. He needs to hang on to the idea that...if he runs he'll win and become the greatest president in the history of the world. Wouldn't be surprised if he had a mental breakdown. Must take huge amounts of energy to lie to yourself as he does.

Some votes matter. My vote for Nader as a write-in candidate in blood red Idaho didn't matter at all....actually, my vote for anyone other than the Republican candidate wouldn't have mattered either.
