Just seeing cop cars drive past scares me. I have no criminal record, but I know they can kill me and I will be called a thug or aggresive or a demon.

That is a horrible truth.

As an old white man, I don't have the same fears. That is part of my privilege. Why should I have that privilege?

That is wrong! That needs to be fixed. Right now!

She's not the only one afraid of being killed.

I am also deathly afraid every single time my kids leave the house. If one of their friends call my cell while my kids are away, my blood pressure soars, Every. Single. Time!

At trolley stations, in the little urban park near me. I do my best to let the police know(silently and respectfully) that I am watching their interactions carefully.

It's one of the few things I really can do I those situations.

People should not have to be afraid like this, not in this country, not anywhere.
