(182,803 posts)Dearest Florence,
Times are hard. Rations are few but our spirits remain alive. The Fourth Regiment of the East Tennessee Calvary are resisilient. We hear rumors that an Infantry battalion from southern Canada allied with our cause may offer support with either troops or something called crepes. We resolve to win this battle of New Loudon and are sure in our hearts that we will.
Yours in heart and this horrible war. Give my love to Rose.
