Incredible hubris among elected officers continues with the case of the missing bouganvillea

When you see a board member or commissioner skirting the law and encroaching on the legal rights of their neighbor, you have to wonder what other rules they feel free to break. It seems apparent that she's guilty, so she should lose her job for abuse of power.

Casselberry commissioner investigated after neighbor reports 4 missing bougainvillea plants

Sandra Solomon, a longtime Casselberry city commissioner, is under investigation after being accused of having her landscaper remove four of the large ornamental plants from her neighbor's yard, according to a Casselberry Police report.

Police said the plants each were about 8 feet tall and had a combined value of nearly $500.

Neighbor Jorge Montes called police Saturday after noticing that the four plants were missing from his yard on Bayberry Drive. The only remnant of the trees was a dirt patch, police reported.

Her attorney Mark Solomon, said he could not comment because it is an ongoing criminal investigation. Solomon, who is the city commissioner's son, said he plans to meet with the neighbors next week.

When officers went to Solomon's home to ask about her neighbor's complaint, she declined to talk to them because, she said, she was late to her grandson's birthday party. She did leave them her phone number.

In contrast, when you live next door to one of these politicos you can't even walk on your own property without someone calling in the police helicopters and the white surveillance vans.

Too bad that man doesn't have security cameras to help him fill in the blanks.
