I grew up in Arizona and haven't seen the flag so much but was aware of the State House controversy watching the Chris Rock Show back in '99. All I knew of it growing up was it was referred to as the "rebel flag".

Though we have plenty of "white pride" assholes & Neo Nazis. I don't understand the people with Nazi tattoos, falling for the propaganda still after all these years. Do they like mass murdering police states? I don't get it.

who wasn't white or black--I live in Arizona but the person was a Mexican-American from Victorville, CA that said that KKK weren't originally race haters or the kind of targeting black people for lynchings but said all that was a myth that the KKK was meant to serve the interests of the Democratic party and I mention the reversals in different parties he mentions religion that Republicans were god fearing, cared about the people, etc.

A lot of racism here but haven't came across love for the 'rebel flag' but I understand what you're saying.

Of course the media wants to gin it up. These silly little "flag rallies" will fade away.

I'm glad the flag is coming down over public building/land, it has absolutely no place over US government property, but if someone is willing to stand and fight about personal and historical displays is it worth the violence?

If they want to lose again, so be it.
