Link to Obama on Jon Stewart yesterday - both were fascinating

http://www.rollingstone.com/tv/news/watch-jon-stewarts-final-barack-obama-daily-show-interview-20150722

Obama makes a very good case for the Iran deal and asks people to call their legislators.

This is something we on DU can do. We ALL now the right will be out in force calling them too. If they only hear from them, they will not realize that a MAJORITY of Americans support the deal. AIPAC even formed a separate group, with huge funding, to push people against the deal -- they already spent $1.5 million against it in the first half of this year.

1. Hurts to say, but, I think DU and Kos are taking a pass on any efforts to support Iran deal.

Few seem even interested in battling the RWers who went straight to work to dominate the debate with THEIR talking points.

DU and Kos: Oh…..The Iran Nucleqar deal…..It's just Obama, Kerry, Moniz and the first real international effort towards world peace in modern history, nothing serious enough to get us to stop arguing about the primaries and use our energy to provide citizen support.

2. sad that a site that grew futilely fighting a bad war is ignoring a REAL chance to help avoid one

It is pretty clear that if the US screws up this deal, we may be in a war worse than the Iraq War.

There is far too much attention to nonsense like the various outrages of Donald Trump. ( I swear there is almost MORE outrage now than in 2004 on the fact that an honorable vet was smeared).

DU did fight the fast track for TPP, but I see NOTHING happening on this - here or on Daily Kos.

3. The BS being ginned up over the primaries is too distracting, apparently.

DU used to be one of the GREAT sites for when serious ACTION was needed.

He was quite relaxed and forthcoming on Marc Maron's WTF podcast recently as well.
