IMO, we are going to lose even if we win.

Why because the GOP understand process and that governing is a collective effort starting with town councils, highway supers, school boards and that the POTUS is just an avatar. A figurehead of the collective.

Having a lame duck POTUS for 4 yrs, unable to get any federal justices confirmed by the Senate unless approved by the teabaggers is not winning

Getting veto's overridden on important social safety issues is not winning.

The difference is we don't pay attention to local issues and have a federal mindset that everything begins and ends in DC and we can just pass a national law to fix local issues.

1. Still better than a rubber stamp signing every nutty thing the republicans will try to pass.

one who spends all their time enjoining 'bipartisanship' and who feels that he/she should sign anything simply because it made it through the 'process', and that he/she has achieved something by signing crappy legislation.

They will try to hold onto power and do much damage in the process but they are headed for the dustbin of history.

IMO.
