The shows host, Floyd, told Yahoo News that he invited Houser on his show many times to discuss his radical views because it was entertaining and caused tremendous buzz.
He was a guest because he was good TV entertainment, not because it was a respected opinion that he had to say. But he was very entertaining all the time, Floyd said in a phone interview with Yahoo news. He had Tea Party-radical Republican views on everything. Id have a Democratic spokesperson on [for the opposing perspective]. He generated a lot of phone calls.
Houser was a member of Tea Party Nation, according to the groups website.
The Hatewatch Blog, which is run by the Intelligence Project of the Southern Poverty Law Center, uncovered that Houser posted about his fondness for Hitler, neo-Nazis and lone wolves on several online forums.

(135,425 posts)I think Tea Party does pretty much equal white.
It doesn't mean that was the reason for the crime, but I don't think those people have a very diverse membership.

(46,416 posts)to answer for a teabagger's crime. Might have a point if there was a racial dimension to the crime, but I haven't seen that yet. Thought maybe I missed something in the coverage.

The shooter was apparently an anti-feminist. Maybe he got upset after watching Amy Schumer on Comedy Central making one of her somewhat crude-but-amusing "sex" jokes, or something...!

(13,262 posts)disavow, condemn or "refudiate" the shooter's actions, because white people are never expected to be responsible for, or stereotyped for, the bad actions of others of their race, while black people often are.

Unfortunately with sarcasm and reality being so close these days you need to use the tag on everything because lots of people just can't get it.

(146,336 posts)It's not actually a word, despite Sara Palin's attempt to make it one. It's an erroneous portmanteau of "refute" and "repudiate." It's famous because of Palin's use of it. It may be her one contribution to the English language, since it's now in use by some people.

(23,664 posts)I've counted at least five posters reminding the OP that the word "refudiate" is a made up Palin brain fart. Give the OP a little credit, people, doesn't the context of the post sort of tell you he/she gets that?
It sort of defeats the purpose of if you have to use the little thingy every time you post something that contains .
