Knives, axes and a shovel were among the items found in Neal Falls vehicle. He was killed Saturday by a woman on Charlestons West Side. Police believe he could be connected to other crimes across the country.
Police on Wednesday identified the man who was shot dead Saturday by a Charleston woman after he attacked her, and released photos of guns, knives and other weapons and items from his vehicle.
Police believe Neal Falls, 45, of Springfield, Oregon, could be connected to other crimes around the country. They said Monday the items in Falls car, among other things, might connect him to several deaths in Southern Ohio.
We are releasing Mr. Falls name and photograph, as well as details about the incident. Our hope in doing so is that if there are any other victims of Mr. Falls between here and Oregon that the information may be valuable to law enforcement, Lt. Steve Cooper, the Charleston Police Departments chief of detectives, said Wednesday.
Falls was killed Saturday by a woman he met on Backpage.com, a site often used to find escorts, after he attacked her at a house on Charlestons West Side, according to police. The woman reportedly used Falls gun to kill him after he beat and choked her.

(2,003 posts)2. I've been following this story quite a bit.
Really, one of the strangest events of the year so far.
"Heather" should consider getting herself an agent or some kind of experienced representation. If this guy turns out to be the serial killer police think he is, a lot of people are going to want her story. Her life is about to change in a very big way and she'll likely need some assistance in dealing with all of this.
She's deserving of every accolade that comes her way. In saving her life, she undoubtedly saved others as well and might help other families find closure for their lost loved ones.
