2. the cycle was just awful

can't really comment on Alex Wagner. Ed was pretty decent when he wasn't sloppy on his facts. That said, I can't fathom anyone thinking Todd is a good replacement for anyone. I know Keith is apparently very hard to work with but they should consider bringing him back. Donahue was good when he was on.

they want him off Meet The Press very badly and either it's in his contract that he gets another show if they turf him or they want him to work off his contract instead of paying him out. MSNBC definitely loses on this one. If they think Ed's ratings are bad, they are going to plummet re Todd's show, imo.

8. Todd sucks up to corporate media masters. He's not a journalist, heck

Ed is 1 trillion times better. The new corporate master, Comcast owners are RW. I foresee many lean left shows being ax.

It is a major demotion. I agree Comcast is RW and is gearing up for the far away election. If they think they can outfox fox they are delusional and will continue to lose ratings on both NBC and MSNBC.

I was disappointed to see Alex Wagner's show axed but as far as The Cycle and Ed's Show, I am not surprised, I wasn't impressed with either of them and would change the channel when they were on.

For some strange unfathomable reason that defies reason they think that boring goateed niitwit is some kind of star. He has zero charisma, no originality....he started out as a political numbers guy, and someone decided he has talent.

Dunno. Boggles the mind.

but it got too gossipy for my taste and felt like a rip-off of The Five. I didn't watch Alex much either, but when I did watch, I thought she was OK, but I usually found myself bored and tuning out within the first 5 minutes. Part of the problem was that her show discusses things that I already heard about.

3. They should have canceled that hack Scarborough, and the hideously irritating Andrea Mitchell.

Bringing Chuck Todd in is likewise insane, and shows that it's all about appropriate propaganda, and not actually making money.

Of Obama and that's what they like.Morning Joe is a joke they keep him on because he's a republican. The crazy thing is a lot of republicans don't consider him as a conservative and say he's irrelevant in the party .

presidential candidates which I believe the main focus will be on HRC. He will also distort information concerning any Dem, running for reelection or as a candidate for senate and house.

He's awful.

I miss Joy Reid most, but she's around as a guest on other shows. Chuck Todd will attack Hillary or anyone who replaces her as the leading Democrat.

They don't need emails, because there are videos of Bush/Cheney/Rice/Powell talking about nuclear weapons and anthrax coming here from Iraq - but no investigation.

as well as the other 2 canceled shows, but MSNBC obviously has idiots in charge. Including Chuck Todd during the week would NOT help draw more viewers. Even with him replacing David Gregory on MTP, that show is still struggling. Not many people of either political persuasion like or respect him, and he shot himself in the foot by saying before that it's "not my job" to correct various falsehoods about health care. He is a horrible "straight news" anchor. MSNBC's viewership is mostly left-leaning, so opinion shows have not necessarily been the issue, anyway. What would have helped draw more viewers is having each of their opinion shows discuss differing topics instead of covering the same topics all day (with the exception of important updates), in addition to replacing the weekend prison porn (Lock Up) with news shows.
