Does anyone really think big international corporations are going to rest before they wrest power to control the nations in which they do trade?

The delays that occurred with our House and Senate having to vote Twice on Delayed vote...and credit to Rand Paul for his Filibuster and the E-Mails, Phone Calls and Protests by the Anti-TPP Activists cause the TPP to be delayed much beyond what Obama and his Trade Advisers were Expecting.

We delayed it enough that it could GO DOWN...and that the the Trade Talks don't yet have a continuation date is Significant!

The DELAYS were what Mucked Up the TPP! And Activists need to get the Credit for This!

It reinforced some of the things I had previously known from the Japanese side, like that Abe was not pushing very hard for the TPP. Not surprising, since much of Abe's party's support comes from rural/farming areas, which would be among the first to feel the TPP shaft. Also, a former Japanese minister of agriculture and a current member of the Japanese parliament I met at a TPP event in Tokyo last May were very optimistic that TPP negotiations would get bogged down (although the agricultural minister had predicted that the US House would reject fast tract).

from "Clive" who is "Naked Capitalism's" websites "Man in Japan" who said that Abe got what he wanted when he came to DC where Obama was supposedly going to announce the Successful Passage of the TSA when Abe got the agreement for Militarization of Japan (along with probably other goodies) and he's fine if the TPP doesn't pass.

What you say also seems to be part of the reluctance of Abe and other countries realizing that their Sovereignty of Nations is threatened by this dreadful TPP Agreement down the road.
