I'm a little disappointed because I thought this would be a great opportunity to verify any actions on part of Iran.

I wish he were a Republican so we could have a better chance of getting this Senator-for-Life out of here.

You all don't know DINO's and phony Dems until you see this guy in action.

I will vote against Schumer. Time to e-mail him again and remind him of that. And I used to be so impressed at how smart and articulate he was while arguing our side when Bush was President.

Boro Park, Midwood that despises Obama and this deal. He would be in trouble in those areas. He has a tough vote ahead.

Yes, there are some racist rightwing ultra-Orthodox in NYC. Anyone who lives here knows that.

he's not supposed to pander to rightwing racist assholes

Most NYC Jews are very liberal and favor this deal.

Why do the Iranians not trust us? Oh yeah, we took over their country with our CIA after they had the unmitigated gall to tell the billionaire and millionaire oil men from American and England, that the oil under their spoil belonged to their people and then Nationalized the oil industry in their country. Do not they know national sovereignty must take a back seats to business progress ( control of resources and labor by business interests).
I cannot help thinking of the way business would take away the national sovereignty of the US and pacific nations and instead allow mega corporations to control our legal ability to protect our citizenry from their abuses.
The TPP is Obama's payoff to his rich donors, period. As a person who worked hard for his reelection, I am saddened by his support of this secretive, business first treaty.
But why should we people expect national sovereignty, the oligarchs will protect us right? Just like they protected our financial markets, just like they protect our climate, just like they protect our black and sometimes white people from unlawful search and seizure.
Sure every time the rich want us to fight a war, they yell Nationalism or in other words the Nation must stand together to protect itself but where are their cries now? The TPP is an attack on our rights as citizens and as a free nation.
Israel's right to dominance over Palestine etc. seems to outweigh the rights of National Sovereignty of Iran and even our own but only when it serves the needs of the oligarchs.,.
