Mr. froggy and I used to go to it, but the larger the rally became, the more we stayed home. I don't think we'll go this year.

(22,877 posts)Love the Black Hills..but you could not get me within a hundred miles of it during Sturgis.. Too many people riding though the hills.. especially at night.. ayee yi yi yi yi,,

(1,469 posts)a beautiful place is better enjoyed without the noise
plus, driving around that many bikes (or that many vehicles, period), whether on 2, 4 or more wheels is more risky than necessary
and, with all that alcohol consumed, a lot of that is going into drivers, along with drugs
worth seeing once (sturgis rally), but that was enough for me
