Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) on Tuesday threw his support behind President Obama's nuclear agreement with Iran, joining a string of Senate Democrats backing the deal ahead of a five-week recess.
"I acknowledge that this had been one of the most important preparations and will be one of the most important votes that I will cast in the Senate," he said. "Unless there is an unexpected change in the conditions and facts before the vote is called in September and it will be called on the very first day that we return in September unless there is an unexpected change, I will support the nuclear agreement."

(1,560 posts)to rid us of Scott, but yikes, numbers were horrible for us, especially here in South Florida. As important as next year will be, still need to drill it into people of how crucial it is to vote during off years. I think it'll be another close race next year, regardless of nominees. A lot of work ahead of us.

(99,711 posts)I lived most of life in Cen FL before moving to L A in 3/12 but have lived in all three parts of the state. I miss everything about FL except the humidity and the GOP dominated politics...
This board is very Grayson friendly but I think Patrick Murphy better captures the state's mood.
