Anyone allowed to carry firearms at G.O.P. events?

Has anyone seen some N.R.A. type openly carry a AK-47 at a major Republican event?

They could say the Secret Service forbids it concerning debates and candidate press-conferences, but for other meetings?

nearly all of their debates are in gun free zones. There is one in Nevada that hasn't been set yet as to location. It will be interesting to see where that one winds up. Finding a gun free zone in Nevada is hard but possible.

allowing the gun nuts to protect their own event. But I wonder about caucuses, rallies (without candidates), etc.

And wouldn't hyper 2nd Amendment types argue that even at the debates, we should have at least the possibly of concealed carry, since some wack job could sneak in a warm gun with a couple clips of hollow tips.

in heavily regulated hands, despite any and all modern legal tea leaf reading of what was written on an aged piece of parchment in whale oil ink by the light of candles regarding muskets and lead balls.

All weapons intended to be used as weapons logically are and need to be heavily limited and regulated, no exceptions, especially regarding the heavily preferred weapon of professional soldiers and killers.

the Senators would have capital police and the sitting governors would have state protection. The only one who might be eligible would be Jeb and I highly doubt he is eligible as he wasn't a minor child when the elder Bush was President.

While I am not certain, I would imagine that all the debates have armed security present. If not they should have.

there should be armed security present.

I have a carry permit but I have no problem leaving my handgun behind in my safe when I go to an event where I am well protected by trained and armed security.

Such events rarely attract people with serious mental issues looking to rack up a high score of "kills."

2. Hypocrisy and gun loving go well together. GOP events are all gun-free zones! With private armed security.
