Speaking from the perspective of the Super PAC, you want to try to do things that you think will be helpful to the Super PAC and not things that will be hurtful, and Frankly trying to dredge up Jeremiah Wright right or wrong after this issue was litigated four years ago by John McCain deciding not to litigate it was stupid, he said.

(27,453 posts)The GOP made Rev Wright a 24/7 media sensastion last time and it didn't work. If it didn't work then, it won't work now.
I suspect they will go with the secret Muslim thing. Thata really rattles the cages of the base.

(14,180 posts)I felt what Wright had and has to say was and is correct for the most part. Reverend Wright supports Occupy.
Plus, the instant the Repigs inject Wright into the campaign, we get to go after Romney's checkered past in the Mormon faith. And no one could say 'boo' at that point.

(14,180 posts)the Mormon bishopric and its theology and history as it relates to Romney.
I was hoping against hope that the Repigs would take the Wright bait and open Romney up to scrutiny by his evangelical base for the cognitive dissonance it would cause therein, far worse imo than any cd caused by re-introducing Wright.

(10,960 posts)Aside from being generally a conservative asshole I doubt he has much ideology beyond what he thinks will sell.
And the Wright thing is not going to sell well in 2012.
So yeah, I agree with him too. It is stupid.

(82,383 posts)Though his use of "litigated" is wrong.
There weren't any court proceedings.
The birther question has been litigated to death though. Both those issues are losers for the Republicans.

(3,747 posts)in that as a smart political move, it was done so that now "religion" is off the table and Mitt gets a free pass on his magic underwear.

(31,706 posts)The backstory here is the fact some political shyster was trying to sweet talk $10 million out of some deep pockets. That's Rove's territory. He wants to be the big dog on the SuperPac block and he can decide what slime to throw. He doesn't take kindly to those who tread on his turf or mess with his money. This has the smell of a classic Rove ratfucking...

(7 posts)There was a post way back Defining them as the Red Ink Republicans, well that is the Hell for what they are, and they are the party of the RED and there Elephant is RED, they are also the Party of TWO Depressions 1929, 2009. I want the people to think, that everytime they see The Republican Red Elephant symbol, they think about RED ink and the Depressions they caused. It is time to stop playing political correct, or we will be politically DEAD! We all need to get Rubber Stamps in Red,
And on the top line
"GOP the Party of RED INK!" next, a picture of a all RED Republican Elephant underneath, and below that, with a BLACK Stamp in a font, Stencil,
1929 DEPRESSIONS 2009 Underline DEPRESSIONS!
We have to Define these SOB's for what they are! 2013??? is not a lucky number, lets hope for the Republicans.
A rubber stamp is nice, you can stamp all your mail, napkins, arms, hand, shirts bulletin boards, enlarge the stamps on copy machines for posters. We need to get rid of that TRASH Tea Party in congress, and again control the house and Senate, with a large majority and Bleed the Rich Republicans out of every DIME they have. It is time to "TAKE NO PRISONERS"
