When the exteme Right say "When America was Great" or

"Take back the Country" what they really mean was when the US went out and kicked ass militarily. I finally remember what the perfect word for this is. Machismo.

Machismo:

Republicans are Macho oriented normally, but since Sara Palin invited "Real Americans" out there's been an headlong veering to the extreme Right, shown in such things as the dismissal of rape as a crime and the sick belief that a rapist's seed is just another holy way that God chooses to create humans, and the push towards forcing women to carry fetuses to term whether it kills them or not. It's also notable in the knee-jerk reaction to bomb the existence out of other countries just to show them who's boss.

The Donald takes it to rapturous, foaming at the mouth heights for the base. He struts and smirks better than George Bush, doesn't bother to answer questions by dominating the verbal exchange and steering it right back to his arrogant talking points and he insults everyone who the base wishes they could insult. He is so macho that he doesn't even need to beat his chest or do the Tarzan yell or have a Presidential Plan other than just to kick ass. The simple mind gets it.

Things like thoughtfulness, diplomacy, education, politeness, measured speech, nuance, tolerance or respect are sissy. Sissy is how inferior beings act because it's a "female" way of being. Sissy has no place in True Machismo. True Machismo is pure and untarnished loathing and rejection of anything and everything that's different. True Machismo is all about imposing your will over everything and everyone, be it gays, women, Latinos, Blacks and foreigners. If they don't just automatically bow down to your will, just because it's coming from you, then you make them bow down with force.
