Have you seen the new scare-ads about new regulations on retirement investments?

These misleading ads are from "Americans to Protect Family Security" which appears to be a lobbying group for financial advisors.

Evidently that meanie Obama has proposed some stricter standards for brokers who recommend retirement-account investments that would require them to put their clients’ interests ahead of personal gain. Because they were like taking bribes... er, “back-door payments or hidden fees for steering people into bad retirement investments that have high fees and low returns”.

Anyway, just a heads up alert of these scumbags trying to deceive people. Here in Calif I'm seeing these ads all day long showing people worried about their financial future and lamenting that new government legislation would prevent them from seeing their financial advisor, losing their 401Ks, etc, you know, call your senator cuz its the end of civilization as we know it.

Orwellian-sounding name? Check.

Pack of lies? Check.

Trying to defend the indefensible, i.e., fleecing seniors out of their hard-earned money? Check.

It's gotta be the Kochs behind this. They'd justify any criminal scheme if it meant stealing from the poor and vulnerable.
