Do any of the candidates address American Indian problems?

There are about 2 million American Indians according to the Bureau of Indian Affairs. And if you count the other people who identify with American Indians or who list themselves as part American Indian the number goes up to about 5 million.

Do any candidates even mention these people? No one even seems to acknowledge their existence.

The people on the reservations just have a horrible time of it. And talk about massive discrimination.

I wish someone would at least pay some attention. They deserve so much better.

I pointed out here at DU that white people down there were disgusting assholes, and that was too much for 4 out of 7 here so I have not talked about it much, dont want to be censored again.

American white people dont belong on this land, not a single one of us belong on one square inch of this land.

But not only are we here but we make up rules as we go along to decide who else can be here, what an amazing heap of bullshit.

Who in the fuck do we think we are telling other human beings where they can and cannot go, or live, or eat, etc.

Immigration laws and borders are about as insane as allowing individual people to own land.

No, we arent the only ones with immigration laws and borders, it is all absurd, however.

My point would be that while I dont belong here either, at least I am grateful to be here, and I dont begrudge others their ability to be here and I sure as hell dont support some bullshit laws created to make it harder for others to get here.

That would make me an asshole.

Not necessarily as a candidate but as Senators and Governors. The problems on Reservations are complex and run deep. If one could get the BIA (Boss Indians Around) out of the situation, some problems could be addressed easier.

If any people need help it's them

Just money for good schools on the res would help

And maybe special food stamps or special assistance so that just their day to day lives could be improved. Everyone should have access to good food and warmth in winter and an education if they want it.

And jobs that don't destroy their enviroment and that respect their religion.
