Scott Walker: I Don't Know About Birthright Citizenship
Submitted by Brian Tashman on Friday, 8/21/2015 2:05 pm
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is trying to walk back his call to end birthright citizenship, which is assured by the 14th Amendment. In an interview with CNBC, the GOP presidential candidate said today that he actually has no position on the amendments clear language: I'm not taking a position on it one way or the other.

Definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed.

(1,965 posts)I think virtually every opinion or position he holds is bought and paid for. I think every thought banging around in his mostly empty skull has been placed by others. I think he is stupid enough to believe that nobody notices, at least no one of any consequence, OR, I think he's too stupid to care. I think he is stupid way beyond any capacity to measure. I think he is stupid enough to make the shrub, in comparison, seem like a Rhodes Scholar, an accomplished diplomat and a "go to" elder statesman.
Just my two cents.

(1,965 posts)"seem like" and "in comparison to", in an effort, perhaps clumsily, to illustrate the depths of stupidity I attribute to the wanker.
Outside those extremely narrow parameters, you're absolutely right.

(33,688 posts)It's hard work, after all, this presidentin'.
So are all the rest of the klowns for that matter.
"Dumber than GW Bush" is not a phrase I ever imagined coming into common usage. Now it doesn't even seem sufficient to express teh Stoopid of the 'pukes.

(33,688 posts)and His Chimperial Fraudulency I couldn't imagine the depths to which things have sunk.
It's now like something Hunter Thompson would have written (as FICTION) after a week-long whiskey, ibogaine and ether bender with a bunch of cocaine thrown in to jack up the paranoia level.

(82,849 posts)If he strays one millimeter from the demented wingnut position du jour, he's risking all his base support. They're not very intelligent, but they know instinctively when one of their pet politicians is hedging. The wingnut position is nonsense, of course, but Walker knows that if starts going all "The Constitution says . . . " then he'll lose what little he has with them.
Yeah, he's a fucking dunce. But he's at least pig-smart enough to dodge the accusation of being minimally competent.
