no, in point of fact, you could not be and were not born Christian. You may have been born into a Christian family, but until such time as you were baptized, accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior or both, you were not Christian. As for the repulsed by homosexuality - yeah, we know, we've heard it before. Whatevs Bry. Just go away and study a bit more theology.

then why have so many Christians tried to convert this secular Jew?

At least, when I was young and cute, when the occasional gay guy would try to hit on me, they would accept "no thanks, not interested" and not treat it as an attack.
