Petition: No Iran Deal Turncoats in Dem Administration

CREDO put out a petition today calling on Clinton, Sanders, and O'Malley to pledge to pick a running mate who supports the Iran deal. I like this idea, and I want to spread it - and also to extend it. So we just put up a petition at MoveOn, supporting CREDO's demand and extending it to all confirmation-level appointees.

If you agree that helping Republicans try to undermine the diplomatic efforts of President Obama and Secretary of State Kerry isn't a Democratic thing to do; if you agree that warmongering and saber-rattling aren't Democratic things to do; if you agree that resolving international conflicts with diplomacy is better than endless war; please sign and share our petition.

Just in the last few days, Senate Democratic leaders Harry Reid and Patty Murray came out for the deal; New York Representative Jerrold Nadler came out for the deal. The tide is turning. One by one, Democrats are coming out for the deal. And that's all we need: Democrats. If most Democrats stand with the President, diplomacy will win and the Republican warmongers will lose.

Let's end this. Let's draw a line in the sand. Let's make clear that Democrats who promote war with Iran over diplomacy against a Democratic President aren't welcome in a future Democratic Administration.
