Trump Symbolically 'Deports' Jorge Ramos. Anybody Want To Bet On How Much of a BOOST that will give

his poll numbers with the TeaParty base?

I have a creepy feeling that THIS image of a thug ejecting a latino man, along with Trumps "go back to where you came from (Univision)" snipe will actually BOOST his ratings with the crackpot GOP base.

If Trump does not win the presidency?

What will happen with all this anger, bitterness toward 'others' ?

It will not go away. They have been given permission to voice these ugly racist feelings and it is now in the open. It will have to be dealt with. But by whom?

I fear for our country.

bitterness towards 'others', he leaves in his wake. It would be nice to think that his eventual defeat will somehow end the 'anger and bitterness' but it won't. It will fester; all the more because it was continuously espoused by a leading candidate (perhaps the official nominee) of one of the major parties.

Months and months of "US vs THEM" RW populism based on race, ethnicity and nationality - with a couple of 'progressive' throw-away lines so he can sound 'progressive' to those who want to see him that way - will cause long term damage to our politics and drag it down and to the right even more. Republicans have been playing a long-term strategy using fear and emotion to win elections. Sadly it has been successful to a large extent. Trump provides even more fear and emotion for their base to focus on.

Media is covering this wall-to-wall. I'm beginning to think Trump is a brilliant fool when it comes to publicity.

First of all Ramos goaded Trump and gave him his opening. That alone will give Trump's supporters enough grounds to defend him.

What is more, there are people out there who furiously resent the fact that Latinos like Jorge Ramos, women even conservative women like Megan Kelly and black people like oh let's say Barack Obama have risen to the cream of the elite in our society while they, run of the mill white men and the women who love them, have not. Do you think that any one of guys would not love to do the same to some pushy Mexican? This is Joe Six Pack living vicariously through Donald Trump.

Is he a bully? Absolutely, but remember whose fantasies he's playing to.
