Without the workers these companies would be worthless. Without the CEO the company would function as normal.

is still as correct as it has always been.

His proscriptions weren't so great, but his description of the inherently parasitic nature of capitalism remains spot-on.

but I'll bet that most of them could afford it.

And who would have thought that Chipotle would lead the pack? (Of course, I think the food is terrible there.)

They are the ones who recognize Disruption to the current business model, change course and avoid catastrophic collapse before it happens. The ones who can't see their own demise short weeks before collapse and bankruptcy, 4 : 1 might be generous. I have worked with some god people and others who couldn't navigate their way out of a paper bag.

could rec a reply! The "hard work will make you wealthy" meme is, and has been, a total crock. At least in my experience. The wealthy where I'm at got their money the old fashioned way: lying, cheating, stealing and the occasional murder.
