I'm getting "Active Shooter" social pings from Starkville, MS

Can somebody more tuned in to the US media give me a quick sense of WTF is going on? Before I have a stroke?

My dad teaches there.

Not sure how such a scenario constitutes an "active shooter," but whatever...the important thing is that no one was hurt. I wonder if this was someone genuinely up to no good, some open carry activist assclown, or just a mistake?

If I saw one of those open-carry idiots strolling around with a gun, I'd call 911 to report a shooter. If they chose to call it an active shooter, oh well.
