Voters Described Presidential Candidates With One Word — And The Results Were Brutal

Aug. 27, 2015 at 8:56 AM

A new poll released Thursday asked respondents to name "the first word that comes to mind" with three of the leading 2016 presidential candidates.

The results were quite illuminating.

- The top word associated with Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton was "liar."
- The top word associated with Republican front-runner Donald Trump was "arrogant."
- The top word associated with Republican contender Jeb Bush was "Bush."

The results come from a Quinnipiac University survey that polled 1,500 people.

Of those polled, 178 used "liar" for Clinton. After that, they were most likely to say "dishonest" (123) and then "untrustworthy" (93). The first positive words didn't appear until the No. 4 term, "experience" (82), and the No. 5 one, "strong" (59).

The poll asked both Democratic and Republican voters about candidates of both parties, and it's not surprising that many of the top responses would be critical.

The results, however, could be a sign that Clinton's detractors have a clearer and more widespread narrative against her than Clinton's supporters have on her behalf.

The one for Hillary is at http://www.quinnipiac.edu/images/polling/us/us08272015_wordcloudHC_Ueg38d.pdf

And also includes deceitful, crook, crooked, corrupt, criminal, untruthful, smart, Benghazi, politician and intelligent as the next biggest looking words.

20+ years of the right and the media (and now the Left) calling someone "deceitful", "crook", "crooked", "corrupt", "criminal", and "untruthful", on a (near) daily basis, would result in the public describing that person is deceitful, crook, crooked, corrupt, criminal, or untruthful!

Will wonders never cease?

The media called Hitler a monster for the last 70 years, and people still think of him as a monster!

Sometimes people earn the words the media use about them.

'Smart' and 'Intelligent' people are often able to make sure proof of their misbehaviour never comes to light.

Prisons aren't filled with smart criminals, they're full of the dumb ones.
