(15,806 posts)Secession effort in Colorado pancaked not long ago, much to our embarrassed relief. My county's commissioners spearheaded the effort. As the commish who fancies the idea of one-party-rule put it, the constitution guarantees the right to "suck-cede" (that's how she always pronounced it), and in that they were "suck-cessful". Ick.

(3,811 posts)My state representative here in Tennessee is a rabid, born-again, evangelical, former military man. His most recent antic was his un-suck-sessful attempt to impeach Republican governor Bill Haslam over his acceptance of the Supreme Court decision on gay marriage.
