I can't stand Trump but he would probably be the best choice for Republicans

Personally I think he would be a disaster and might get us into a war or two because of his big mouth but if I had to chose between Trump and the other Republican candidates I would easily chose Trump and here is why.

1. He is for single payer HC
2. He wants to raise taxes on the wealthy and Wall Street
3. He opposes cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid
4. He opposed the Iraq War
5. He is probably pro-choice even if he won't admit it now
6. There is no way in hell he is religious even though he panders to the religious right currently

On edit, here are a few more:

7. He thinks affirmative action is okay.
8. He would fund Planned Parenthood except for abortion. (This is current federal policy)
9.He's in favor of a ban on assault weapons.

He is a fricking bigot though and I personally can't stand listening to him. It's amazing how a few racist comments can get you to the top of the GOP polls regardless of having many liberal policy ideas. That's how clueless and racist the GOP base is.

He plays one very well because he is marketing to a specific audience. I am sure that the reality is he doesn't think in those terms at all. He only cares about his winning and the only thought he has towards other people is whether they can make money for him or whether they are going to cost him money. If you don't fit into that scheme of things I don't think he thinks about anyone at all.
That doesn't mean that he wouldn't throw Latinos to the wolves if he thought it necessary. Or anyone else for that matter.

I really don't see him taking his marching orders from a weenie like Reince Priebus.

He is horrible, no doubt, but he is by far the best Republican running.

1. He is not bought. Any stupid idea he espouses you can rest assured he thought of it all by himself. It didn't come from Jeebus, some snake handling preacher, or the Koch Brothers. Walker on the other would shoot roman candles out of his butt if Charles or David said it was a good idea.

2. He's a sales man and knows his market. While I don't deny his racism I believe he ramps it up to get the goobers into the tent. He can be talked to and reasoned with. He's about making deals, not ideological purity.

3. He's not a bible thumping moralist. He gives the Xtains lip service but that's about it.

4. He may not be a military expert or an expert in international relations but he was against the Iraq War which is more than can be said for most Republicans and Democrats.
