As a Florida resident I found this a great read.

I agree with them regarding putting more talking points in the main advisories which is why many people read Jeff Master's Blog with the commentary included. Many people don't ever read the NHC discussion, which is where the most meaningful forecast info resides.

Another good suggestion is to remove the dotted forecast path line on the 5 day forecast and just have the cone. The NHC has repeatedly said not to focus on the dotted line, but as long as it's there in the longer term forecast, that's exactly what people are going to focus on.

I also blame the media for ignoring the detail discussions and forecast info to hype storms for ratings.
