Black Ohio university removes Cosby's name from building

http://www.sfgate.com/news/article/Black-Ohio-university-removes-Cosby-s-name-from-6498572.php

A historically black college in southwest Ohio says it is permanently removing the name of comedian Bill Cosby from its communications building.

In a statement Friday, Central State University in Wilberforce says the Camille O. & William H. Cosby Communications Center has been renamed the CSU Communications Center. The school had been temporarily covering Cosby's name since July while it made a final decision.

The Cosby family has donated more than $2 million to the university....

Central State President Cynthia Jackson-Hammond had called circumstances surrounding the comedian's situation "troublesome and disappointing to all."

Please enlighten me on how a public university -- a historically black one, at that -- in a repuke-run state is supposed to come up with a spare $2 million in order to avoid the appearance of hypocrisy.

principle and remove Cosby's name from the building, they shouldn't keep his money. If Cosby isn't good enough then his money should not be either.
Just my opinion.
They will have the money if they don't build the CSU Communications Center I suppose.

A couple donated $75 million to finance a new sports arena. They asked for and got naming rights and named it after their daughter. It was soon discovered that she cheated her way through college. Thus we have the Mizzou arena rather than the Paige arena. The couple voluntarily gave up their naming rights.
