O.J. Simpson appeal of 2008 kidnapping & armed robbery conviction rejected by Nevada Supreme Court

O.J. Simpson appeal rejected by Nevada Supreme Court

http://lasvegassun.com/news/2015/sep/11/oj-simpson-appeal-rejected-nevada-supreme-court/

A lawyer for O.J. Simpson said Friday they'll decide their next step after the Nevada Supreme Court rejected the imprisoned former football star's latest appeal of his 2008 kidnapping and armed robbery conviction.

Attorney Patricia Palm said she needed to talk with Simpson at Lovelock Correctional Center about the Thursday ruling by a three-member panel of the state high court, and whether he wants to appeal to federal court.

The Nevada justices issued a detailed 16-page decision saying they found there was no reason to overturn Clark County District Court Judge Linda Marie Bell's findings in the case and give Simpson a new trial.

The court said Simpson failed to show that his notoriety following his 1995 acquittal in Los Angeles in the deaths of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman tainted his trial in Las Vegas, and he failed to demonstrate that his lead trial lawyer, Yale Galanter, had a conflict of interest.

I was hoping he would be released so he can continue his exhaustive search of America's golf courses and memorabilia shows for the real killers......

punish him for allegedly killing those people.

If you want to convict him, dont send a known racist out to his house to plant evidence.

I've never understood how or why so many people have chosen to overlook this large elephant in the room.

This country is supposed to be a place ruled by law, even when we don't like what the law has wrought in a particular case. OJ may well have committed some crime in Nevada but his sentence was entirely out of line for the crime and was only imposed due to the fact the judge thought he got away with murder. That isn't how things are supposed to work in this country.

..."Simpson was sentenced to 9 to 33 years."

So 2008, if they give him the max, we're looking at 2041, also known as OJ at age 94.

Minimum, 2 more years, or age 70.

otherwise it would have been 9 to 27 years.

When he's done serving the minimum nine years two years from now, he'll only be qualified for parole.

As a judge on Court TV told off a defendant after reciting a mile-long list of the charges he'd been convicted of, I actually started rooting for the judge to run his sentences consecutively as if I were watching a game show -- and I won!

since the white convertible was followed by the cops.

I don't believe he did it and think he was framed.

Lost all my theory papers and trial vcr tapes..so I can't remember the things that make me believe he was innocent (and drugged).

Not only poor OJ, the cockroaches that did the killing have never been caught.

Somebody, I think his buddy, had a convertible.

I am 77 and my memory is going. I can go the kitchen for something and forget what I went in for, and it happens all day. I can't remember names and where I put stuff.

But how in blazes did I forget the Bronco? that Bronco is as famous as Trigger and Tonto. Oh damn. Roy Rogers and the Lone Ranger - you sort them out.
