Do we welcome? I hope so.

We have real momentum. In the last day, Senator Dick Durbin and leaders of major aid organizations joined the call for the U.S. to accept 100,000 Syrian refugees.1,2 Our photo messages help show that Americans are eager to welcome and support these families fleeing unimaginable horror.

it made me sick when I saw we were taking maybe 16,000. So bumping it to 100,000 is a step in the right direction, but maybe we should stop the wars and let these people go back home and live in peace. Because, sadly, we're the ones who have destabilized the region. If the criminals Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld had not lied to us and convinced us to allow them to invade Iraq, we wouldn't have this problem, and all these millions of people wouldn't have lost everything and be refugees.
