Meditation and Karma

I am strong believer in Karma. I believe it has its own positive energy but can be blocked with a strong negative energy. If we can turn off the negativity, then Karma is freed to follow the path of truth and justice.

But, how do we turn off the negativity so Karma can work? That is the purpose of Meditation. Meditation can free our minds from negative energy. It is a healthy exercise in that it can rid us of stress and angry thoughts. In doing so, it permits Karma the freedom to release its positive energy.

The sound of the ocean and the warmth of the sun are great meditative tools. When we hear one wave after another rush toward the white sandy beach and feel the warmth of the sun upon our body, it is therapeutic.

Or we may walk barefoot on the wet sand looking for seashells or colorful stones to collect? If we can escape the negativity around us, even for a short time, it is helpful for our Karma.

Even the short time it took to read this post may have liberated just a bit of Karma?

peace

Some people would cite that fact as evidence of the futility of mindfulness meditation.

Especially on a day like today where I have a lot of negative energy surrounding my professional day job. Refocus and reflect.

Positive vibrations.

One love.

Peace!

--> Turn off the TV.

TV is designed to grab your attention and make you feel like buying something. To make you feel like buying something it has to make you feel that current state is inadequate. They have had 70 years of research into how to do that. It is not just the ads that tear you down and sell you, it is the programming (perfect word for it btw) also.

Noisy, vapid and full of false values. Turn off the TV and take back your Qi.

Ask your soul and the super-conscious what is true and the answer will not include an ad from Geico or an episode of Celebrity Apprentice.

contemplate, meditate and clear my mind. Now that my children are grown I no longer have to search for the beach action and carnival rides. When I'm there my mind goes back to times with my mother and father were alive and only the good and positive things shine threw. It's as if they are there with me. Actually they are with me as we all are together when we return to the source of our existence.

That statement about meditating to release its positive energy sounds good but makes no sense (at least to me). What meditation does is get us to sit STILL. In doing so, we are not creating more KARMA. Even "positive" karma (planting or hugging a tree, feeding a unicorn, or whatever) is still creating more karma and if you want to come back to this plane (which some see as hellish), then focus on being a do-gooder. Nothing wrong with having positive actions, mind you, but you still have to realize that you're in this Matrix (which I see as the Wheel of Birth and Death or Maya) and GET OFF!

What keeps you attached to this plane is your desire to be here, even if to do good deeds.

Just let it go.

( Still dealing with my desire to preach... )

The Zen of that thought should realize what
is......LOL

If we can really understand the problem, the answer will come out of it, because the answer is not separate from the problem. In oneself lies the whole world and if you know how to look and learn, the door is there and the key is in your hand. Nobody on earth can give you either the key or the door to open, except yourself

--just taking regular breaks from the stressful world, small at first and then extending them--is very helpful. There are a TON of meditation recordings and videos free online too

Peace Kentuck and everybody!

in that it almost mirrors the beliefs and practices of those who are religious.

Karma is your soul, positive energy is your God, negative energy is your Satan and meditation is your prayer.
