Young bagpiper drowns out preacher's hate speech and everyone applauds

A video got posted on Overheard in St Andrews Facebook page. Apparently, a preacher with an amplifier decided to serenade the locals by yelling fire and brimstone (allegedly hate speech of the homophobic and Islamophobic variety).

A hate preacher using a megaphone to blast out alleged anti-Muslim and anti-LGBT sentiments in St Andrews, Scotland, on Saturday was drowned out by a young bagpiper.

Footage shows the bagpiper slowly approaching the man while playing the pipes in an attempt to challenge his actions.

Soon, the man's preaching begins to dwindle against the loud drone of the bagpipes, causing him to abandon his efforts.

Personally, I like the sound of bagpipes. I know many people do not. My guess is if you had the choice between hate preaching and bagpipes, you'd choose the busker.

those Westboro church people, too. The Patriot Guard riders should invite some bagpipers to the funerals they attend.

Of, course I would always chose them over a hate preacher.

I love the way the Scots sent the pipers out first when going into battle. The pipes will always thrill me. A street preacher, not so much.
