Pregnant couple on way to hospital held at gunpoint by cops for 20 minutes; almost miscarriage

http://www.alternet.org/civil-liberties/cops-hold-couple-gunpoint-nearly-kill-them-and-unborn-child-driving-hospital-give

You know this story about a heroic cop who stops a speeding car only to find out that it was a pregnant woman on her way to the hospital and then he helps her in every way he can?

- The couple wasn't even speeding.
- The cops lied in the report. They said, they chased the car for 5 miles, it was 1 mile.
- The cops couldn't even answer why they stopped the couple in the first place.
- They held the couple at gunpoint while the woman was screaming that her water had broken.
- They handcuffed the man, slammed his head on the ground and taunted him that he won't see his child because he will be in jail.
- 15 minutes after the stop, the cops called an ambulance. 20 minutes after the stop the ambulance arrived.
- The woman was taken to hospital, where the baby was in critical condition and had to be delivered right-away with an emergency-procedure or else it would have died.
- The cops arrested the man, apparently just for fun, because he was released the next morning without charge and without knowing what happened to his wife and child.

The cops in the U.S. are worse than rabid dogs.

They are trained purposefully to escalate all situations.

They behave as if they are not human.

They have worked hard to earn zero respect from the public.

They are a threat to the public's safety.

We are over-policed these days, at least from my humble point of view. This trend will continue until martial law if we let it.

Washington, DC (TFC) – The airwaves are full of pundits screaming about violence against police officers. These are the same pundits that disregarded the warnings of experts in the field of insurgency when the Ferguson riots broke out and chose to dismiss the rioters as “thugs.” They continued to cheerlead for more police militarization even after the first officers were shot in targeted killings. They are now continuing their efforts to support police militarization. Those of us that warned of this last year, have watched in horror as all of our predictions came true. We are now in the fourth stage of the cycle of insurgency. The fifth stage is open insurrection. It is time for officers to dismiss the pundits on Fox

I don't Post this because I wish it to Happen, gods NO! I post this as a warning because It's going to happen if the powers-that-be don't do something to rein in the Jackboots!

The couple settled out of court. They get money, from local taxpayers.

Bastard cops have nothing happen to them.

for bad cop behavior, I would be raising HELL with the local government.
Once might be a mistake. Repeated is acceptance of the ultimate power of law enforcement.

1) never call the police

2) if your wife's water breaks, and on the way to the hospital a cop tries to pull you, don't stop, because there's a good chance the cop gives not a shit about your unborn child.

I am black & Asian but light-skinned with straightish hair (born this way, go figure) and cops pretty much ignore me. But when I see someone in that uniform I tense up and want to get the hell away from them. It's an involuntary reaction but it's born of what I know and read: Stay away from cops.

To pay a settlement for misdeeds.
Kicker if it blacklists cops fired by other departments.

Solving the police abuse crisis really just requires a few simple laws.
