If not, you should: The most unfairly maligned director in Hollywood is back, tho I'll admit he's had a couple of clunkers these past few years. But The Visit accomplishes something I thought was impossible: It takes the tired 'found-footage' trope and actually makes it work!

In the blah blah about signing off, he said that they were returning to "the rightful holder of this time slot, Kate SNOW..."

Yeah, he's pseudo elegant in his words, but there was a smattering of a dig that the evening news was *HIS* rightful time slot. He looks and sounds like the-morning-after. By the bye, I was always very *mildly* intrigued (can there be MILD intrigue?!1) by his mannikin grooming and dress-up and started calling him "the wedding cake dude" years ago. He never really bothered me, and I never really watched him, but I was always puzzled in a way, like, how he dressed and looked like that and yet was always talking about being blue collar and NASCAR and firefighter.
