Much better than my Spanish, that's for sure. And I don't believe he's going to be setting down any roots, here.

That's just me. I can understand him better in Spanish, once you get the hang of the -zh- sound that is used for 'll' in Argentine pronunciation.

heard him briefly at the White House. (I could never understand it in Spanish!)

And I read that he's not as comfortable in English as in other languages.

not in Latin. And for him, the language he's comfortable with is Spanish.

Update: I just read a report that the mass was said in Spanish.
