We can ridicule him all we want -- but that doesn't mean he couldn't win the general, depending on circumstances.

Most voters don't vote based on a minute analysis of issues. They vote based on personality -- and Ben Carson comes across as a nice, soft-spoken guy, with a self-deprecating sense of humor. Plus he's a brain surgeon, so he has a decent number of IQ points.
